14 Jan 2021 Researchers from Brno use plasma to remove microorganisms and chemical residues from water Researchers from our faculty participated in the development of a new technology for water purification using low-temperature plasma. The device can remove chemical residues such as oestrogens from contraceptive products and kill pathogenic microorganisms such as cyanobacteria and bacteria.
14 Jan 2021 Conversations about the universe - part 2 In the second part of the ‘Conversations on Space’, filmed by colleagues from our Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics, Norbert Werner and Samuel Kováčik talked about the results of the SRG / eROSITA X-ray satellite, the return of the Hayabusa 2 and Chang'e 5 missions and the future of lunar missions; however, their main theme was the democratisation of space.

11 Jan 2021 A pharmaceutical company has been involved in the development of oncological drugs from MUNI Artios Pharma Ltd. and Merck KGaA recently announced a three-year research collaboration aimed at discovering and developing new cancer drugs. This collaborative agreement will also make use of results gained through cooperation with Masaryk University.
